How to make a Mojito

One of the most quintessential vacation cocktails out there, the Mojito is a classic that is easy to make, yet so easy to get wrong at the same time. Balance, as is the case with most drinks, is key. But with the Mojito, too much or too little of something becomes more pronounced, since each component relies on the other to keep it in check. Follow this recipe for one you won’t regret making.

  • 60ml white rum
  • 25ml fresh lime juice
  • 15ml simple syrup
  • 40-50ml soda water
  • Handful of mint leaves
  • Garnish: Spent lime wheel

  1. Place mint leaves in tall glass and lightly muddle (do not remove the mint)
  2. Add rum, lime juice and simple syrup in a shaker, then fill with ice and shake
  3. Fill tall glass with ice and empty shaker into glass
  4. Top up glass with soda water and garnish with lime wheel
